An impresssion of the first plate is transferred to 6 other plates. Now there are plates for all 12 colours.

Creation of a paradise

Now the red colour has been painted. The painting measures 180 cm by 120 cm and consists of 6 plywood plates. Many more colours are to be painted.

The woodcut "Outside Shakespeare & Company in Paris". The first of seven plates is finished. This plate is for printing with brown and black ink. The woodcut will be printed with 12 colours. I am filming the whole process and here is a small take. Today's work.  

I am working on a new woodcut. It is a motive from Paris, two persons outside the English bookshop SHAKESPEARE & COMPANY.
